“I would be honored to serve the 3rd District in the State Senate, and hope that on February 26th I’ve earned your support.”
The youngest of five children, Dr. Saud Anwar came to this country to follow his dreams. His father, a farmer, instilled in him the importance of working hard. His mother taught him kindness and how we all have a responsibility to take care of each other. And both of his parents taught him to value education.
These lessons inspired him to become a doctor—a dream that took Dr. Anwar to the United States at 24 years old, and to attend Yale University as part of his medical training. He rolled up my sleeves and got to work, just like his father taught him, and completed his training early to get right to work.
Dr. Anwar has lived his life in service of others—his patients, family and neighbors across Connecticut. It’s what his parents taught him, and the only way he knows.
